A great holiday giveaway!

1. What is your holiday wish for your family?
To spend time together, without any obligations


2. What is your Christmas morning tradition?
Opening christmas presents while still in jammies. I love to see the looks on the kids faces while they uncover what santa has brought for them. We usually have our Texas grandparents staying at our house, so they can share the excitement.


3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?
A new house built on our land, with lots of storage and a bedroom for every child ( no more sharing a room for the boys) and maybe an extra for the in-laws to visit. A large kitchen with an island and a super huge pantry for storage, hmm I could keep going with this one...


4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?
We try to do some baking and making ornaments or some kind of christmas craft for the kids, like gingerbread houses.


5. What games did you play with your family growing up?
We were a gaming family and now that i have kids we play even more games. Every holiday consists of food and gaming. :) While i was growing up i remember playing RISK and card games mostly. Now we play lots of card games and any board game (monopoly, sorry ect) We also play strategy games like alambra, settlers of catan, princes of florence. Even my just turned 8 y.o has been playing these games for a few years


6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?
My family didn't have many traditions while i was growing up but they always went to midnight mass of christmas eve. This year i will be working at the hospital on xmas eve until 330 am, unfortunately the ER never closes...


7. Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip?
I might miss the snow but I would never pass up a trip to the beach, with my family

Once again it is a crummy rainy day, so cold, crummy or rainy, it may sound lazy but i drive tyler down the hill- that way we can wait outthe bus in the warm car- he doesn't much care one way or the other, but i am all about staying warm

Castaway Bay

We took a mini trip to castaway bay in sandusky, we met amy,dave & joeysince it is the halfway point for both of us. the boys had a great time playing together & emily got her first bathing sit- she loved the water & all of the people watching. andrew was pretty brave, giving all of the water slides a chance, tyle took some persuading to go on any slides at all, but onc he did he had a great time- both boys & mommy loved the hot tub. The boys thought it was cool that you were able to swim in the hot tub outside in the cold. In fact they already have plans to frequent it when we go back.
